Description: The camp is run by Julie Blasnik and Julie Fisher for children 12months-7 years old! They have run for 4 years now! All counselors are CPR and First Aid certified and many have been working with children for 5 or more years! Many activities are offered including outdoor play,water play yoga, dance, soccer, basketball, gymnastics, cooking, art, fun science, music, story-time, and so much more! All the children are separated into different age groups with 6-8 month spans and activities are age appropriate. The older children ages 3 and up are offered 2 chances to stay for a late night where we have fun with marshmallows, cooking, treasure hunt games and more! Children that night are encouraged to bring a sleeping bag/blanket/ pajamas and toothbrush. We love to make slime, bake cookies, sing many songs including “5 Green and Speckled Frogs” and the kids love to go home and share this with you! Description: Our garden is the perfect place for a budding mad scientist! Do you know which bugs make the smelliest defense chemicals? Which plants were used as medicine before drug stores existed? How some butterflies become poisonous by what they eat? Learn how plants grow, how they attract pollinators, and how they offer protection for some insects. We will use investigative tools and experiments to explore the garden.

Camp name: Double the fun: Dallas Zoo/TRAC Endangered Grasslands Camp
Description: “Endangered Grasslands” at the Dallas Zoo and the Trinity River Audubon Center. This new camp takes children from the world of the African savanna to our own Blackland Prairie, the most endangered ecosystem in the United States. Spend Monday through Wednesday at the Dallas Zoo, and then spend a fun-filled, action packed Thursday through Friday (including a staff-supervised overnight) at Trinity River Audubon Center.
