Over the Top Last Night…Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus!
Saturday, August 1st, 2009

We had an “Over the Top” time last night at the circus! My daughter, Margot, “thought it was great” and “the elephants” were her favorite! There were many new acts since the time I attended a couple of years ago! Lot of excitement, color and fun — well done! You’ll be amazed throughout the performance — especially by Super Silva as he walks upside down from the roof of the arena and I still don’t understand how 7 motorcycles can race at full speed in a caged sphere without a collision! Be sure to arrive early for photos and participation with various acts and clowns! Through August 9 - American Airlines Center in Dallas and August 12 - August 16 - Fort Worth Convention Center Arena. http://www.ticketmaster.com/Ringling-Bros-and-Barnum-BaileyOver-the-Top-tickets/artist/1244295

Last Saturday Margot (3 years) and I attended Saturday Smiles, the Bookmarks program at NorthPark Center! We loved Jungle Jim Klinger’s presentation — “Bugs of the World!” The butterflies were beautiful! Afterward, we had gelato at CIBUS! (FYI - they have about 8 dairy-free flavors. Perfect for those with allergies! Our favorite is watermelon!) Margot gave the program and the gelato two thumbs-up! Kids Ages 7 to 18 can Swing into Summer at KidSwing Golf Tournaments in Dallas & McKinney benefiting Texas Scottish Rite Hospital!
Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009

Kids do not have to be golfers to participate in the KidSwing Golf Tournament benefiting the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (TSRHC)! All skill levels are encouraged to participate! The tournament was founded in 2003 by former TSRHC patient Ben Sater. At age 11, when he discovered that TSRHC does not charge patient families for care, he decided to use his love of golf to give back to the hospital. KidSwing has since become an annual event, and last year it expanded into two tournaments, one in Dallas and one in McKinney. The seventh annual KidSwing-Dallas Golf Tournament is on June 15, 2009, at Brookhaven Country Club, and the second annual KidSwing-McKinney Golf Tournament will be on July 13, 2009, at Stonebridge Ranch Country Club.
Both tournaments are nine-hole, best-ball scrambles for players ages 7 to 18 of all levels of golf ability. To date, the KidSwing tournaments have raised more than $660,000 for TSRHC. REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Friday, June 5! CLICK HERE for more details!
